The left has no principles, and so cannot unite around anything. It's not a coincidence the right always falls in line while the left fractures every time.
One group of people who care about right and wrong, but disagree on details because of their perspective, and you get loyalty even if those people disagree and the leader doesn't please anyone 100%.
Another group that has no values, denies objective reality, who only see right and wrong in terms of their short-term pleasure, and primarily treats politics as a form of self-expression will be entirely different. There are an infinite number of ways to express yourself, and there's no limit to what someone can decide "their truth" is. So you necessarily get many small factions, and they all hate their leadership more than the right who doesn't try to cater to their constituents.
