No other decade, no other generation, no other youth culture can ever match the wonderful 1980s!

You are wrong, op. The early 90s was the correct time to be born. Young enough to know of a world pre 9/11 and also young enough to get used to a post 9/11 world.

Nope. 1980s had great movies, the Brat Pack, computers without internet, early gaming, wild clothing, Transformers, the best music ever, the beginning of punk rock, post punk , goth, New Wave, skateboarding got popular, and so much other crap.

Those movies are still with us though.

Can you imagine, for example, watching The Lost Boys in a cinema with a bunch of fellow youths cheering and gasping at the scenes? Nothing like it.

I'm afraid I do not know what that movie even is. Remember such a scene as you described though, that pokemon movie about that clone of a pokemon was very popular in town.

I was all about BMX bikes, Nintendo and transformers - 80's treated me ok. Pretty conservative though so I missed a lot of movies and music, but I survived.

Used to be you could pay a twopence and hang on a rope for some sleep, now you're looking way more for that.
