You are wrong, op. The early 90s was the correct time to be born. Young enough to know of a world pre 9/11 and also young enough to get used to a post 9/11 world.

Nope. 1980s had great movies, the Brat Pack, computers without internet, early gaming, wild clothing, Transformers, the best music ever, the beginning of punk rock, post punk , goth, New Wave, skateboarding got popular, and so much other crap.

Can you imagine, for example, watching The Lost Boys in a cinema with a bunch of fellow youths cheering and gasping at the scenes? Nothing like it.
I'm afraid I do not know what that movie even is. Remember such a scene as you described though, that pokemon movie about that clone of a pokemon was very popular in town.

I was all about BMX bikes, Nintendo and transformers - 80's treated me ok. Pretty conservative though so I missed a lot of movies and music, but I survived.
