I need to watch a documentary for my Political Science class, and I thought it would be cool if a bunch of minichanners watched it at roughly the same time, and then discussed it in this thread. The documentary is called "The Storm", and it's about the failures of American government during Hurricane Katrina. I'm going to start watching it at around 7 P.M. If you watch the movie, and actually research the dangers of the batteries and the charging system, you realize the EV1 was one hell of a dangerous car to be in in the event of a crash, or if you like smoking in your car.

I just got done watching it, seems like a lot was left out. I clearly remember a lot about the Katrina disaster, it was fucked and I remember thinking why the fuck can't they get water and food to those people, in fact they were actively stopping efforts by nearby communities to deliver aid, most of the effort in the first week was spent on keeping people in or out of New Orleans. Yes, keeping people in. They weren't even letting them out lol, though I don't remember why the fuck they would do that. I wonder how prepared we are for a major disaster today, given the further disassembling of FEMA, I'm not optimistic.
