Topic: You keep your seatbelt on during flights?

Anonymous A started this discussion 1 year ago #118,522

I've had flights before where strangers have said to me things like "You know the seatbelt light is off, right?", like I'm dumb. But I know details of a lot of air disasters and many people have died from incidents where they would have been saved if they had worn their seatbelt. So who is the real dummy?

Anyway if anybody wants to know why a certain thing happens on an aircraft I can let you know which catastrophe made them start doing it.

Planes are dangerous and I avoid them at all costs. But when I do fly, I wear my seatbelt the entire time.

They're not that bad, much safer than cars.

As if there are a ton of things to do back in the peasant seating. Sure! I'll take my seatbelt off and stroll along the balcony... maybe grab a bite at the lounge or something...make a few phone calls. People are dumb.

Wait, you don't fly first class? Oh, dear.
