When people started using glass for dishes and such regularly, a mental disorder developed among the rich where they believed they were made of glass and may shatter at the slightest movement

It sounds crazy but I believe that to them, it seemed plausible and real. People can believe some mad shit about themselves when they have anxiety disorders.
