I am purposefully waiting on the last minute to check in. After that, I inform them that I am in need of steel toe shoes because I forgot mine at home, I am also going to have to get a locker assigned to me to store my own none steel toe shoes. I was very unhappy with the list of things I was supposed to load onto a pallet yesterday. It's weird, people talk about wanting a long list, that way you are faster because you can take more from the same spot and if you take more you are seen as fast. But people don't talk about the volume of the order, sometimes I fill up three pallets and it counts as much work as if I got a half of a pallet with lots of small things. Management is not good at seeing their retarded measurements.
On the other hand it was also a very busy day. Five people were sick. They wanted us to come a hour early but only asked us instead of requesting it, that way they don't have to pay for a "call to service" so to speak, don't know the word. Then I learned that the kewl girl is getting shit from management because her performance is "red" sometimes.
