I don't think I'm seriously depressed, but I'm just not happy. I feel like I have nothing to look forward to for the rest of my life anymore. I don't really know how to get myself out of the rut that I've been in the last few weeks.
What do you do to make yourself happy? Maybe I'll get some ideas from you guys.

You shouldn't rely on someone else for your happiness, because when they go (and I promise you, they will) you're left not knowing what makes you happy anymore.

Yeah. I know that.
I'll tackle that problem when she leaves. I don't care at all right now.

That's all good advice. When I'm feeling down I go to the gym and just work all my troubles away. Just work out to clear your mind of all your troubles. I know a lot of people who eat when they're feeling sad and depressed, which gets the same result in the short-term, but it's unhealthy and makes them worse off in the long-run. I guess the key is to keep good habits.
Let me ask you something, OP. When you wake up in the morning, what do you tell yourself or ask yourself? What are your plans for the day when you first wake up? Tell me a little bit about your thought process.

When I wake up in the morning, I usually try to stay positive. Think of strategies to make friends or meet people. Then I go to school all day and try to keep myself busy.

What an awful thing. You put quite a burden on another person when you do that.

Well that's good that you stay focused on school, make an effort to meet new people, and stay positive. Do you feel empty because you're uncertain about the future? Can you go into more detail about your thought process? Just talk more about your thoughts?

Are you implying that you feel this way because of a break up?

Who knows. Could be.

I'm trying to take advantage of it. It's really hard for me.

This this this.
What I used to do was break my exercise into 5. So like do 50 situps at 12.00 then wait another hour, then do another 50. That way, I knew that I had something to do in the next hour. Also it releases endorphins to your brain, and resting after a workout can feel good. Also take a look at your diet. Junk food and too much sugar is a no no. Switch to grains, seeds, nuts, fresh fruit and chicken/fish with occassional treats :D
