We don't know that, I've yet to see bombers bomb a forest fire. Though I do think they need specialized bombs for this very purpose. In addition, the areas in line of debris should be bombed simultaneously.

They have huge water bombs that they throw into the fire. Unfortunately with many forest fires there's too much fuel over too large and area and it's impossible to smother it; the only way to manage such fires is with fire break zones which isn't always practical, especially with the speed that a fire can spread and the sudden changes of direction it can experience.
