It's true. They struggle for attention on a daily basis, and by their thought process, they need to make shtick. During which time, as the shtickler struggles with loneliness, they start to struggle with alcohol, and thus, the problem drinking process begins.

Take this fellow in the photo, struggled with alcohol and shticking his entire life. No friends, no life, and no future prospects. He turned to shticking to fill that void in his life, to seek attention, to seek any reaction from someone, and when that failed, he took to the bottle and had thoughts of suicide.

Sadly, he tried to take his life after an attempt to make shtick was stopped by Meta . He is now at an asylum, where it is said he sits in a corner with his knees up, his arms wrapped around them, and rocking back and forth, while repeating over and over, "I can't believe this. I can't believe Meta defeated me!"

His release date has not been set yet.
