Thank you. But that still doesn’t answer my question. I read on a Shakespearean subreddit that they were doing a production of Romeo and Juliet in Lafayette, but adapted to ebonics so the Deep South hillbillies could understand it.

EXT. VERONA PARK - DAY
(The Capulets and Montagues are gathered for a tense confrontation. Juliet stands with her family, while Romeo stands with his. Both families are armed with baseball bats and brass knuckles.)
TYBALT
(brandishing a bat)
Yo, Romeo! This here beef ain't gonna end till one of us is dead.
ROMEO
(nervously gripping his brass knuckles)
Aw, Tybalt, why we gotta do this, man? We could squash this and be cool, bro.
TYBALT
Nah, it's too late for that now. You disrespectin' my family, and now you gotta pay the price.
(Juliet steps forward, pleading with Tybalt.)
JULIET
(crying)
Please, Tybalt! Romeo ain't mean no harm. Can't we just let bygones be bygones?
TYBALT
(mockingly)
Aww, look at lil' Juliet, tryna save her man. Sorry, girl, but Romeo gon' get what's comin' to him.
(Romeo and Tybalt square off, ready to fight. The tension is palpable as the two factions wait for the first move.)
MONTAGUE MOB
(from a distance)
Hold up! Hold up!
(The Prince of Lafayette, flanked by his bodyguards, rides into the scene on a horse.)
PRINCE
(booming voice)
Enough of this senseless violence! By order of the Prince of Lafayette, this blood feud ends now!
(The Capulets and Montagues back down, dropping their weapons. Romeo and Juliet share a relieved look as the tension dissipates.)
PRINCE
(to the crowd)
The next time I catch you toddlers actin' a fool, heads gon' roll. Now go on home and thank the Lord that you still got breath in yo' lungs.
(The families disperse, leaving Romeo and Juliet alone in the park.)
ROMEO
(to Juliet)
I ain't never gonna let nothin' happen to you, baby girl. No matter what.
JULIET
(softly)
And I ain't never gonna stop lovin' you, Romeo. Not in this lifetime, or the next.
(They embrace, knowing that their love will conquer all, despite the odds stacked against them.)
FADE OUT.
END OF EXCERPT.
