As of May 2024, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 143 of the 193 member states of the United Nations. It has been a non-member observer state of the United Nations General Assembly since November 2012.[1][2]
The State of Palestine had been officially declared by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) on 15 November 1988, claiming sovereignty over the internationally recognized Palestinian territories: the West Bank, which includes East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip. By the end of 1988, the Palestinian state was recognized by 78 countries.[3][4]

Don't forget, if you're upset about the recency of these events, Israel has only been an Internationally recognized state for 40 years longer than Palestine. So fuck off with that nonsense.
In the real world time passes and world changing events happen. This isn't a fantasy land where time stopped on the same day WW2 broke out
That's not relevant to whether a unified Palestinian state has ever actually existed on that land.
Recognizing the PLO doesn't mean the PLO ever controlled that area. Even today the two Palestinian territories are split between separate governments, and there's never been a Palestinian government in control of the entirety of Jerusalem.

If Russians were kicked out of Moscow by an empire, and subject to a genocide in other countries then I would support a right of return to that area.
That's clearly very different than trying to annex a part of their historic empire while having many areas where they can safely exist as Russians at the moment.

It has nothing to do with Jews. It has to do with idiots parroting propaganda from their government that doesn't recognize the sovereignty of certain countries, for various reasons. That doesn't erase the existence of those states, fucktard.
Israel was created to give the Jews a place where they could have their own country, and is now the one and only country where they have self-determination.
Saying that has nothing to do with this is disingenuous.

No one is questioning whether those states exist, the actual point was about whether Palestine has ever existed.
There was never a place called Palestine where arabs ruled the land and had self-determination. That's what makes it different than a Jewish state in the area, which has existed multiple times throughout history.
