Topic: Is this country song racist?

Anonymous A started this discussion 1 year ago #117,718

Some folks wear their hats way off to the side

With their pants down low and a gun tucked inside

Take their beer by the forty and their chicken deep fried

I think we all know who we're talking about

The only dark I like is when I turn off the lights

The only hood I like is pointy and white

Can't trust you if I can't see your face at night

I think we all know who we're talking about

In general you should always assume a country song is racist but this one seems fine, need more context to know for sure though.

Oddly enough, it was sung by a black person.

That is astounding! Was it on some sort of sketch-comedy television programme?
