Who cares as long as you enjoy it. Maybe you'll make a career out of it, even. You might not be... erm... Like your musical hero, I'ma guess David Hasslehoff, but there are plenty of opportunities for musicians. Just not very many that will make you super rich.

Have a back-up plan at the very least, but, I'm friends with a dude who plays fiddle for a popular country western band, and he makes plenty of cash touring. More than most people we went to college with, actually. Seriously, dude plays the fiddle.
