Volunteering in their own communities doesn't grant them the attention and martyr complex they crave.

I'm sure many of them do. I volunteer with a mutual aid project whenever I'm home. But often, there aren't many volunteer opportunities at or around colleges, which is true in my case. Besides, it's not like they're protesting for something totally unrelated to their community, they're literally protesting the actions of the colleges they attend. And this shit about it being a far away war that we shouldn't care about is just obvious nonsense, our country is the primary funder of the genocide. That's why there's over a hundred college protests here in the US and relatively few elsewhere.

Have you attended any protests relating to the destruction of the Amazon?

Sounds interesting. Are there any jews running these companies? If not, those trees can get fucked.

Usually they are Brazilian tree poachers.

I've never been to any protest actions before recent events. If you wanna call me a pussy or hypocrite for not protesting since I was younger go ahead. Besides, genocide is obviously just worse and more pressing than environmental stuff.

There was a ceasefire on October 6th, Hamas broke it on October 7th starting this conflict.

What exactly do you want Israel to do? To write off the hostages, and go back to a ceasefire that didn't work before?

If the pro-palestinian side could just articulate their goals it would do a lot to legitimize it. Getting mad at Israel, without any real alternative makes it look like you just want Israel to stop existing altogether. That's how this has to end if Israel isn't allowed to defend itself.

too bad it couldn't defend itself when they are actually being attacked

Who can't defend themselves?

A lot of people do want Israel to "stop existing", including me. It's a colonial apartheid state. Besides, I'm an anarchist, I don't approve of any states.

Anyway, there was no real "ceasefire" before October 7th. Israel killed innocent people and stole land continuously before then. https://reliefweb.int/report/occupied-palestinian-territory/occupied-palestinian-territory-protection-civilians-report-5-18-september-2023

I'm not going to debate people who can't reflect on what they're saying and do a simple google search before they post to make sure they're not making it obvious that they're dumbasses.

Palestine is a state, hamas is a government, and Iran is an empire puppeting proxies.

There's no anarchist countries, but there are more than 20 arab countries. What you think you're defending has never existed.

Some people are so progressive they wrap around and provide support to illiberal, genocidal, anti-LGBT, totalitarian states because the alternative isn't perfect.

I was asking a question. It is interesting how you become defensive. It is also incorrect that this so-called genocide is worse and more pressing. There are always more people.

Lots of things can't defend themselves. What's that got to do with anything said earlier?
