Women that use men to finance their lifestyles are going to have to find a new way to pay for it.

Don't put out and the man loses interest fast. Do put out and you're going to spend much more money paying for the kid, or moving out of state to get the abortion.

What?? How is that related to a nutjob senator?

Did you read the article?

They are upholding an abortion ban. That's going to affect how men and women live their lives in a big way.

Ah ok. Fine. I was focusing on his speaking in tongues and using religion as a part of politics.

It does seem nutty to me too, but that aspect of it doesn't change much of anything.

The policies they are prioritizing will reshape everything in Arizona.

Or the man has to pay for the kid

And it's going to cause many Americans to vote out Republicans. Now that Roe has placed the abortion laws on states, a bunch of red states are going to start outlawing it outright, and the majority of Americans do not want that.

Red states have higher child support payments, despite incomes being lower on average.

That's part of the agenda. It gives women a financial incentive to have kids, and pacifies the men who would create the most unrest.

Making the parents pay for the kids, instead of the taxpayers, is putting personal responsibility into practice.

Preventing abortions helps none of this

But what if the parents do not take care of them? Should the kids suffer to prove some ideological point?

I've asked these type of people this and the answer is usually, imprison them. Even though this leads to the state paying to take care of the children, once again

It increases the birth rate.

Do you think Texas puts them on the street?

@1,292,113 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC)

This misses the fact that when you punish a crime the effect usually is not that everyone carries on and then all those people go to prison.

A few don't behave, some examples are made of the worst offenders, and the rest decide to do what's asked of them rather than lose their freedom.

Anarchy isn't more affordable than prisons.

@1,292,120 (Indie the Grate)

Many states charge the prisoners for their stay.

They used to send people who couldn't support their children to the poor house, and usually the children went as well

Yet poor people kept having kids

It doesn't work that way anymore.
> Yet poor people kept having kids
It doesn't work that way anymore. Birth rates are falling, and the rate would be even lower without immigration.

The way it works now is that we have overcrowded foster care systems run by adults who collect children like Pokémon cards in order to get a check every month

Then maybe more states should garnish the wages of absent parents.

So what if they're unemployed or underemployed or work under the table or flee the country?
