She's like half-right here? IANAL but basically RICO says "if you commit certain kinds of 'racketeering' crimes (embezzlement, murder, drug running, etc.) as part of an organization that did these things consistently, you get hit with big boy racketeering felony charges on top of whatever other crimes you committed. So it's dumb to say the crime someone committed was "RICO" because that could be like any combination of 30+ different charges. I think that's what AOC was getting at. But racketeering is the crime laid out in the RICO statute.

AOC is so autistic. The person she is questioning essentially said "yes, I am testifying that Biden did crimes! What I saw is made criminal under the RICO act, I am talking federally criminal"
And her autistic ass says "what crime though, you can't just say RICO crimes"
He was responding to her question of "are you testifying today that you witnessed him commit crimes?"

Probably she's just fed up dealing with an impeachment inquiry that has been going on for 6 months and may not even get a majority vote in the House at this point. She was at least half-wrong here but the witness should have said what racketeering crimes he saw. Fraud? Embezzlement? Murder? Extortion? Then you can drill down and figure out what the evidence is for that specific crime, rather than just going "It's RICO."

It seems nearly always pointless to impeach a president and they did it to Trump, twice. What a waste of time and money

Meh in hearings you have limited time and witnesses will babble on forever and eat all of it up if you aren't curt with them.

It's pointless in the sense that things are so polarized now you'll never hit the threshold to convict in the senate, but it's also the only way to get rid of a criminal president so you still gotta do it. 🤷
