I have the Oasis 3, which is great, but now Amazon have discontinued the Oasis and are selling this stupid Scribe bullshit. I want a Kindle for one thingL: reading. Why the hell would I want to write on it? I have an iPad to write on. Give me a premium e-reader and I'm happy. Bring back the Oasis, or come up with a great new model that is just an e-reader.

You are not forced to write on the Kindle Scribe, you can use it exactly the way you use your Oasis today.

My smartphone allows me to doodle notes on a canvas, which I never do, but I still bought it.

You said you want the Oasis back, so whatever reason you would buy that one.

If you just want a new one, the scribe works just the same. You don't need one that is "just an ereader" to use it as an ereader. I can scroll through TikTok all day without ever opening the notetaking app on my phone, so seeing that feature added means nothing to me.

That exists, it's called the Scribe. There's other features too, but no one will force you to use them.

Will you not buy any smartphone with notetaking apps? Who you avoid buying any book with blank pages you could potentially write in?
