Topic: Merrin here. The Pet Sematary prequel is nowhere near as shite as people say.

Just watched it. Here's the thing: if you've read the book and liked it, you'll like most things about this film, because the best thing in the book is the character of Judd Crandall, the old geezer who befriends Louis Creed (and played wonderfully by Fred Gwynne in the first film adaptation). In the book Judd hints at an incident that happened to him as a kid that showed him the evil that exists beyond the Pet Sematary. Well, this film is basically that story. It follows Judd Crandall as a teenager and the 'Timmy Baterman' saga that is only teased in the novel.
I think the shitty reviews come from the fact that if you've not read the novel or seen either of the films, you won't really have a clue what's going on here. The movie assumes you're already well versed in the original story and its characters.
It's well directed by a first time director who has only one other writing credit to her name, some Netflix thing I'd never heard of. The acting is very uneven but that's common with first timers who are sometimes afraid to tell an established actor they've done a bad take and need to do it again. There are small parts for David Duchovny and an unrecognisable Pam Greer. The last 20 minutes is dull slasher fare that lets down a far more interesting first hour.
Worth watching for fans of King's book and Mary Lambert's 1989 film.

You're right I'm upset at the idea. You men wanting to be women encouraging male children to cut off their penis and be a woman is cruel. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I'm the pervert? Unlike you, I'm not going around telling little boys to cut off their penis and become a girl. It's wannabe women like you.

Him randomly bringing up child molestation
(and using gross, porny terms to do it), and him making several replies referencing little boys genitalia. It's pretty obvious

How is him asking you why you want boys to cut off their junk, "porny"? There's nothing in his statements about child molestation.

> Talking about little books penises
Talking about you wanting or being ok with castration on young "books", is hardly "porny". And I agree with him, you are disgusting for being ok with that.
