For example, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I don't know what the fuck that was about and at the time, I did not care. I remember wacky inventions, Dick Van Dyke, and some car that I think could fly maybe. I would watch a movie and be in the world of it for the duration but not really thinking about it too much and certainly not after it was done. So I read other people's comments about it. There is supposed to be a scary character called the child catcher. I had no memory of that. So I watch a scene on youtube, and I thought the boy was stupid and foolish and deserved to be caught.

I've seen a few episodes from time to time, sure. Most recently, I looked up the peculiar phrase "oh for corn's sake", and found that while a character says this earlier on a radio show The Great Gildersleeve, the character Fred Mertz is said to have said it also on I Love Lucy.
