I don't remember seeing the VP's name listed as frequently for past presidencies.
You wouldn't often read anyone saying "the Trump-Pence administration" or the "Obama-Biden administration" passed this or that bill, or is supporting this or that initiative. At most you'd hear the VP's name during elections and then never hear from or about them again for the whole duration they were in office.
Harris has been consistently less popular than Biden, so this just seems like a transparent attempt to promote her and shoehorn her into being president if Biden drops despite what the public polls have been saying. Maybe if they keep putting her name everywhere people will suddenly forget everything they know about her!
I remember back when they tried to push Hillary despite her having lower odds than another Democratic candidate who had much broader public support, and, well, we all saw how that went. I wish history would stop repeating itself.

I never heard people refer to the "Trump-Pence administration" or the "Obama-Biden administration" beyond the election cycle.
I was curious to see if I was remembering wrong and looked around whitehouse.gov, of course now, everywhere it says the "Biden-Harris administration". So I then checked on the wayback archive and, sure enough, it was just the "Trump administration", the "Obama administration", or the "Bush administration".

Yeah, I know why they're doing it, as I said in the OP. It's so transparent it's insulting.
What I don't know is why they're insisting on her when there's a long list of others that the public would more reliably support.
Seems like the Hillary catastrophe all over again. Maybe if the Democratic party would start, you know, actually listening to what people want, they could more reliably win elections.
