Not sure what the huge breakthrough is. Minecraft has always been an incredibly simplistic and uninspired game in every respect. Doesn't seem like a high bar to meet. I'm more surprised people still mention Minecraft at all. But then again I was surprised that anyone saw it worth playing even back when it was released. No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the public I guess.
