Kelvin and Celsius use the same increment of measurement. Fahrenheit does not.
As for Celsius, it's just innovation for the innovation's sake. It's the GNOME 3 of metric. It didn't really offer anything over and above Fahrenheit, just seemed cooler and helped to simplify calculations.
Fahrenheit is the superior system for climate reporting as the unit of measurement is smaller, making it more precise when only whole numbers are used. From 0 degrees Celsius to 38 degrees Celsius, there are only 38 whole number increments. The same readings in Fahrenheit would be 32 to 100, leaving 68 whole number increments. More than double what you get with Celsius. So when observations are reported only in whole numbers, Fahrenheit is actually twice as precise as Celsius.
