I have been wanting to post this for a while but have not got round to it until now. This was a very difficult decision to make, but I have decided that I no longer wish to post on this site again. I think it is time to move on from this chapter of my life and I am posting this for closure. Over recent years I have felt more and more disenfranchised from this community. Back in the day we used to have fun and have a bubble but the bubbles have all been burst. Every time I come back I am faced with harassment or trolling and it is not worth the hassle anymore, I have felt the urge to post some high quality topics™ but then decided it would be better not to, there is a lot more hostility on the board than there used to be and it feels like the sense of community here has gone and posting here is detrimental to my mental well-being. And as much as I love a jolly ruse with Killer Lettuce or meme wars with ninjj, it just isn't worth it as the harassment will just start again, so I'm breaking that cycle. Maybe one day in the future (next week just kidding) I will post again, but not for a long time, this time definitely not for at least a year barring some global catastrophe like World War 3 or a meteor strike. We have lost some brilliant, friendly users in past years such as Postmortem, FTD, kS and Henn. GIANT WALL OF TEXT. I hope the board will change for the better, but Chans are dying out and being replaced with sterilised sites like Reddit. I doubt this format will attract many new users and the older users will leave too and in this modern age people are more sensitive (including myself) and I miss the hugbox days of this site where people were friendlier and we was like a family. I only wanted to make friends here and have a chuckle but I think the golden age is over and it's time to move on and make friends in new places. Anyway, a few personal farewells.

Father Merrin: I don't think we interacted much but I think you were a great poster with thought provoking riddles.
Killer Lettuce: You were one of my favourite posters (if not my favourite) on the board. I liked the meme where I pretended you posted something you never posted as a laugh.
Kook: You've been a good friend to me, that means something. Please stay in touch.
M@tt: You were like an efather to me and have helped me out. Also you were right about harassment. I hope we stay in touch in the future please.
Meta: Great guy but a bit heavy handed (figuratively and literally) in his moderation. Needs to ease up on you know who.
ninjj: You are one of my best friends here and we've always had a right chuckle. I wish you the best.
Svet: Crisps and biscuits, I thought you were a funny and cool poster.
tteh: You've been a helpful and balanced admin.

To all posters except the trolls: I wish you all the best for the future and to the trolls I hope you realise expending this hostility and harbouring negativity isn't worth it, especially on a small BBS and I also wish you the best as you are human too.
Anyway, it has been (somewhat fun) but it is time to move on. It will be a long while if I decide to post again but and I won't be replying to anyone in this thread or elsewhere on the board again. Anyone who posts under the Green name is not the original I from now on. Peace out I love you guys and hope all the best for you and I will collect memes also I have made one final meme for you all.

Green, this post almost brought a tear to my eye. You've always been like a son to me. You went from being an unemployed alcoholic that made unstable posts, to not being an alcoholic. Don't let others try to drag you down by downplaying your progress and don't feel the need to post here or check back if it's affecting your mental health. I know some here will try to pull you back in, but do what you need to keep your mental health. It sounds like leaving here would be the obvious choice.
