I hate the rectangular slabs they call smart phones. I would prefer it all could fit in a wrist watch, no fucking rectangle slab required. If I want to have a screen for video, I'd want a far larger device with a proper size screen, not a the stupid smart phone size.

So, Apple Watch? Apple: it just works.

don't you need the rectangle to actually use it

I think you just need the headset and proximity to a device, but you can type and fully use your device in the screen with hand gestures. You can get all the software that your laptop has. Imagine in Starbucks, people wearing these and typing out their shitty screenplays in the air!

There is a virtual keyboard that you see right in front of you, and you type on it in the air with your hands.

Anonymous D replied with this 2 years ago, 57 minutes later, 21 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,602

@previous (A)
even apple doesn't recommend typing for long on their virtual keyboard and suggests pairing a physical bluetooth keyboard

Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 2 years ago, 52 seconds later, 21 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,603

@previous (D)
Ok. I want to do it anyway.

Anonymous D replied with this 2 years ago, 1 minute later, 21 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,604

@previous (A)
you'll be physically unable to unless your screenplay would fit on an index card

Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 2 years ago, 20 seconds later, 21 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,605

@previous (D)
Why is that?

Anonymous D replied with this 2 years ago, 1 minute later, 21 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,606

@previous (A)
find out for yourself, start holding your hands out in front of you and pretend to type on a keyboard. time how long you can do that

Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 2 years ago, 54 seconds later, 21 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,607

You don't have to hold them upright. You can type on a desk.

no

Oh, you have an Apple Vision Pro? It just came out like yesterday. That is some fast shipping!

the virtual keyboard is floating in the air no matter what, if you want to type on a desk you'll be using a physical keyboard. if you're going to obsess over it at least learn about it

So, I can just look down.

Anonymous D replied with this 2 years ago, 1 minute later, 21 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,612

@previous (A)
okay and you'll still experience fatigue vastly sooner than on a physical keyboard and need to stop writing your screenplay in the air

Why not?

Anonymous D replied with this 2 years ago, 4 minutes later, 22 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,618

@previous (A)
that's not how it works, and you already demonstrated that you're unwilling to hold your hands up in the air, so good luck with your screenplay

Anonymous A (OP) replied with this 2 years ago, 2 minutes later, 22 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,620

Why can't I look down, thus lowering the virtual keyboard to below me, then type on a desk? Why not?

Anonymous D replied with this 2 years ago, 54 seconds later, 22 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,622

you just can't, ask Tim Cook why

I am asking you, since you know lots about it. Why would that not work? What would happen if I tried?

ask Tim

Tim Apple? But I am asking you. You already claimed to know about it. Why won't you answer now? Could it be that you are full of shit as usual?

Anonymous D replied with this 2 years ago, 2 minutes later, 22 hours after the original post[^] [v] #1,280,643

because you should be asking Tim. I cannot read his mind
