Doesn't mean he's poor. Just means he was probably raised to not waste things and conserve his money. I am the same exact way. If I can find a more affordable way I will always do that. I have plenty of money.

I live in south eastern US..I'm in a 12% tax bracket. I don't have a state tax. After it is all said and done I'll probably have around 95k. Some of this income is from a company retirement that's invested. I took a 20 year buyout instead of going to 30.
But I still buy two types of paper plates and use the cheaper ones accordingly. I'm just like that. Now the tp thing Svet said sounds a little far fetched, but ya never know.

I wouldn't say that you're poor, but I wouldn't say that you have "plenty of money" either. At your wealth level in the US, especially in a likely red state, you're one health emergency away from being in a dire financial situation. I don't care what insurance you have, it still happens. It shouldn't be this way but it is.

I hear what you're saying but you have no clue how my money is diversified and invested. You're just reaching and guessing. I have quite a bit of passive income from interest and other investments. My principal in mutual funds stays put and will till I reach full retirement age. I could have a million dollar emergency as you live in fear of, pay that off, taxes and penalties and still have enough to live comfortably on. I have no outstanding debts. I even have nursing home insurance which is something people should have at any age. Instead of trying to know it all about others income you need to start worrying about yourself. I have a sneaking feeling if you lost your job it wouldn't take 6 months and you wouldn't have a pot to piss in. lol
And yes I have plenty of money and intend to have a lot more in the next 15 or so years. Even in this economy.

You just spent several paragraphs justifying yourself to a complete stranger on the internet lol. You don't strike me as the type to have much control of your life. You strike me as run of the mill wage slave convinced he's somehow made something of himself. Keep on following others commands and requests. Keep on working. You'll make it out eventually. Once you're decomposing in the ground lmao

Not what's going on. I asked her to point out anything wrong with what I've said. You know, like a normal discussion is supposed to work. idgaf about what she thinks of my tone and I'm not sure why anyone would.

It actually makes me sad that you responded in this way. It makes me think you view much or potentially all interactions like this and by virtue of doing so, you inadvertently turn them into what you wish to avoid.

He didn't offer anything new beyond his prior reply, that I had already responded to that needed countering.
Fact of the matter is if you don't have somewhere around $50M in assets and live in a red state, you're one or two emergencies away from ruin. You want to discuss that, then discuss it. Stop trying to turn this into some bullshit thing about tone or your emotions.
> Oh I meant you start arguments and you are very emotional
You can tell by his responses he is very insecure and lives his life in fear. Not a very pleasant environment. That is why he comes off as he does in here.

Let's recap. You came in here and made a drive-by comment about my tone. You've refused repeated attempts to engage in a discussion about what I'm saying and not how I'm saying it. When I mention any of this, you lash out and call me emotional. Sounds about what I'd expect from you.
I actually worry a little about your spouse. If you're even a tenth of how you are here irl about projecting your emotional problems onto others, then I don't think anyone, mentally stable or not, should suffer through the misery of your presence. Now I could be wrong on all this, but I don't think that I am.

Here's the problem I have with you: you can't seem to admit the fact that you are in a vulnerable position financially, even if you aren't "poor" per-say. For some reason you've tied this to your ego (slave mentality).
Everyone that isn't from your country can see quite clearly how absurd this situation is. You shouldn't need to be a multimillionaire to be financially secure. But because you've tied your ego to it, you are unable to even recognise or admit that a problem exists where you live. You deserve your government. Not everyone does in the US. But you do. You are part of the reason it is this way.
