First, restaurants lose money from the kids menu. They are meant to draw in entire families to eat. Second, adult picky eaters piss me off on principle.

Eating from a kids menu isn't automatically for picky eaters. Sometimes it's just for smaller portions

They serve shit like chicken nuggets, hot dog bites, and buttered noodles. The restaurant loses money. It's made for kids. Just take the remainder home and be an adult.

They don't lose money you retard. Kids menu items are priced almost the same as an adult's yet have less than half the food.

That's funny coming from the guy whom constantly whines about the cuisine of other cultures and social strata. Thanks.

I've never known an obese alcoholic fuck-up be so condescending towards the way other people live their lives.

That isn't the customer's problem.

OP has experience in a failed catering business. For this reason he demands the customers consider the owner's needs.

This is untrue. Many restaurants focus their children's meals on value, and not profit.

Very innovative! Most businesses do it backwards and try to carefully consider the customer's needs.

How did this new departure in customer service work out?

Solution: Don't offer a kids' menu, or if you do (and you're a stingy cunt who doesn't see any value in this kind of marketing) make it age restricted.

Children's meals are focused on value, not profit. This is because it encourages adults to come in and buy adult meals, and also drinks (which is where the real money is made). And they're also almost always much cheaper than adult meals. I think you're looking at takeout menus and trying to extrapolate how restaurants work from there.

I'm talking about sit-down restaurants. I have no idea what you're talking about. Kids menu items are like $13 to $15 these days for like 4 chicken nuggets, a spoonful of partially defrosted mashed potatoes and like 5g of store-brand ketchup. The profit margins on that are way higher than anything on their full menu. Not to mention it takes almost no time to prepare it. A lot of them might as well just microwave it with all the corners they're already cutting. Wouldn't be surprised if many already do.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

You remind me of a guy I know who is a middle-aged obese alcoholic pedophile. He can't stand food from other cultures (like certain parts of the US). Pretty ironic and sad really that someone like this would be so deluded and snobby. Hahaha

Do you ever ask yourself why your food truck went the same way as your 'marriage'?

I don't know where you're eating that costs $15 for a child's meal and $16 for an adult meal, but they are not representative of most restaurants.

I live in a normal place. You must live in a city where people have more money than good sense, so the businesses can get away with overcharging children for meals.
