Not a surprise. Expect for this type of thing to be regulated to hell and back and not accessible to the average person without a doctor's blessing.

There was a study in developed nations that showed that even things like regular pre-natal maternal visits showed no improvement in outcomes.

We're seeing the death thralls of the Western medical industry. It isn't going to be pretty. But I think we'll eventually see a day where the average person will again be able to make decisions without needing the approval of all the rent-seekers. You know, even basic things like access to birth control pills.

The whole drug war seems aimed at boosting profits for the guild that holds the monopoly on drug dealing, physicians.
