Yes. People who just lost loved ones do not need to "get over it". They need to grieve, to mourn, to deal with the feelings and the loss for a long time.

Is this applicable to all cases though? I've read varying advice on this matter and, like anything else with psychology, there does not seem to be a "one size fits all" approach.
