Topic: I just realised I've 'known' Matt (and therefore many of you) for 12 years.
Anonymous A started this discussion 2 years ago#115,398
I know this because way back then my very first meme-forcing attempt on the chans was "38, almost 40" with regard to Matt (it caught on I'm happy to say, and over the years got updated by other users).
And now here we are 12 years later, I'm reading that Norilsk thread about how he's a Russian vampire or some shit, and it suddenly struck me: this dude's gonna be fifty years old next month.

The 38 almost 40 thing is older than that. I remember it used to be 37 at least. I could believe you popularized it, but I suspect its exact origins are more nebulous and based on a pattern that had been forming even further back.

Nah pal, trust me I remember it vividly, I started it with "38, almost 40".
A lot of the older posts were lost and I'd bet the original uses didn't survive anyway. I remember a lot of the insults weren't in an exact form back then, so "X going on Y" fits generally what I remember too. But I could accept that OP may've pushed the "X almost Y" form the hardest and had it stick; I just remember it coming from a primordial sea of insults very similar to that.

@previous (A) > It's just amazing
Why? You must not have very much going on in your life if such trivial things as some random person you never met turning a certain age amaze you so much.

@1,274,818 (E) > > Every time who is mentioned? > The object of your obsession.
And who do you think that is?
Anyway, I fail to see the connection between whomever you are imagining and you/OP obessessing over random strangers turning random ages. It's really not that unusual you know. It happens to a large number of people every day.

Probably has more going on in his life than someone who is fucking 50 and writes vampire teen novels with AI and posts about girlpoots incessantly lmao

Replying to threads on a message board is normal activity. 4 or 5 replies spaced hours apart is hardly obsessive. And I don't seem defensive at all. I think you are projecting.
> > > Every time who is mentioned? > > The object of your obsession. > And who do you think that is?
I don't know. Why don't you tell us. Quick! Now's your chance to talk more about your obsession.

Seems like it personally bothers you that people would have a laugh at someone becoming an advanced age. Were you also bothered when there was one particular user here that constantly made fun of another user for being 80?

@1,274,916 (Indie the Grate) > You've been ranting and raving non-stop in this thread for over a day now. Simmer down.
No I haven't. You have. You need to calm yourself.
@previous (E) > > > > Every time who is mentioned? > > > The object of your obsession. > > And who do you think that is? > I don't know.
You don't know what is in your own mind? Either you're lying or you need to see a psychiatrist.
> Why don't you tell us.
How am I supposed to read your mind? I have no idea who it is you are obsessing over and projecting that obsession onto me.
> Seems like it personally bothers you that people would have a laugh at someone becoming an advanced age.
No it doesn't. It definitely bothers you though. You can't stop throwing a tantrum about it in every thread.
> Were you also bothered when there was one particular user here that constantly made fun of another user for being 80?
The word "also" implies that I was bothered about anybody turning a certain age. Again, you are the one who is obsessively bothered about this to the extent that you are now in a passionate rage about it. Maybe take a walk to cool off before you burst a blood vessel.

@previous (E) > el-oh-fucking-el > You aren't even making sense now. Rage harder. Cry harder.
Nice cover for the temper tantrum you are currently throwing.
There there, you are obviously extremely upset. I recommend getting off this fora for a bit and getting a breath of fresh air outside.

@previous (E) > No one in this thread, aside from you, has been upset. Want to see what's been making you upset? Take a look in the mirror.
He's still going. Keeping high cortisol levels is very bad for you, you know. How about going for a run?

Good, you must have taken my advice. You seem to have calmed down a little, so now you're just moderately grumpy. I suppose that will have to do.

... says the one who started posting and ranting before I made a casual comment... and is still spluttering away. Lol.

You'll have to ask anon E. He seems to know. As I said, I have no idea.

Why would I do that? You are clearly the obsessed stalker type, and I certainly do not want a creepy stalker on my back for the rest of my life, obsessing about my weight or how old I'm turning or whatever other common human statistic you get excited about.
Post a picture of yourself. Let's see how boomer and whale-like you are.

@previous (Indie the Grate) > Looks like I'm finally running out of steam. I feel a little calmer now. Thank you for the advice about going for a run.
Pleasure! Hope you're feeling a lot better and less angry. Just remember not to let silly, trivial little things upset you so much, mkay?

Probably.

Very happy for you, Anon H! I'm glad my advice is working out for you. This technique can be applied before or after your stimming routine.

The fact that me asking you for a simple picture and your first reaction is to cry "obsessed stalker" says a lot more about you than it does about me.

No it doesn't. Thanks.
The fact that you are continuously hounding me to post a picture reinforces my initial assessment of your character: creepy, obsessed stalker level 50.

I made a total of two posts asking you. How is that "continuously hounding" you? Sounds like you have some mental (and given your resistance to posting a picture, physical) health issues you should sort out.
