Is there something I can do on this end to keep mu UID the same? Depending on the computer I'm on I get a different one. Maybe there is a trick I don't know about. I am on the same modem and router, and the VPN is not on but when I post from a different computer....well you know.

I have 3 different computers running in my office. Why won't they keep the same UID?

Step up your computer literacy game.

You can back up your UID here: https://minichan.net/back_up_ID

And restore it here: https://minichan.net/restore_ID

Restore your UID on every device you want to be using that UID.

Yea right. I've forgot more about computers than you will ever know. This is just a software question, not a computer issue. DUMB FUCK!

I tried that but still seemed to have an issue on the laptop. Let me try again and see what happens.
Thanks.

UIDs are stored as cookies, so even using a different browser on the same device will give you a new UID.

You can also create a memorable username and password from the UID you want to use (see https://minichan.net/dashboard here) and log in on your other devices using those details, if that's easier.

Knowing how HTTP/HTTPS maintain state despite being a stateless protocol is pretty basic. This is 90s era shit.

Shut up DUMB FUCK and quit making a fool of yourself. I was asking a software question. Had nothing to do with a computer. Quit trying to save face. You're a DUMB FUCK and have very few comprehension skills.

No. I have a great life and really enjoy myself. I have more than enough money to live on and go where I want and do what the fuck I want. I only come here when I feel the urge to fuck with bozos who have no life and make them uncomfortable. I love myself and my life. You?

You’ve been posting here for nearly 15 years and still don’t understand the concept of UIDs. Have you even looked at the Stuff page once Matt?

Yeah as our very helpful users have pointed out, UIDs are tied to cookies but you can back them up and login or download the ID as a file and use that to "sign in" on multiple devices. That's how I do it, I just have the ID card saved in my Google drive and I downlosd it every time I get a new phone or computer or whatever and login that way.

Yeah I kind of get the idea now. I only come in and post a few times a week and never paid much attention to it. But I make a post and then come back and get a different posting id, if I can get it to stop it keeps it more understandable who is talking. I have been posting since the scatchan days but I am not a regular as some on here. Thanks.
