Topic: Kind of ironic how the Bible is sold for profit.

I guess even the word of the Lord has a price that costs useless pieces of paper.

Dude how have you not been given like a dozen bibles now? I've turned them away many times. If you're really hard up you could ask a church or something?

There are plenty of groups that give them away for free. I've been in hotels where they have a copy in the nightstand that says you're free to take it as a gift from XYZ religious group.

About 15-20 years ago Intel would send you full multi-volume system programmer manuals for their processors. It was probably several thousand pages across 3 to 4 volumes. Completely free. They didn't even charge shipping. Sadly I believe I've lost them now.

I think it shouldn't need to be said, but I guess for OP it does: the price of something doesn't need to reflect its value.

Another example: sex.

Imagine now, that instead of ordering a bunch of manuals from Intel, you were able to order sex. They'd package up a man or woman that you'd select from their catalog and mail them to you for free. That would be better.

I rest my case.

Religion is often a for-profit affair
