The hyraxes are four species of furry, cat-sized, thickset, herbivorous mammals that might resemble rodents at first glance, but have hooves and two caniniform incisors among other features that betray their distant evolutionary relation to elephants. They are native to Africa and the Middle East and can be found in Gaza.

Rodents make up the largest order of mammals, with over 40% of mammalian species. They have two incisors in the upper and lower jaw which grow continually and must be kept short by gnawing. Most rodents are small though the capybara can weigh up to 45 kg (99 lb). Many species can be found in Palestine.

The lagomorphs comprise two families, Leporidae (hares and rabbits), and Ochotonidae (pikas). Though they can resemble rodents, and were classified as a superfamily in that order until the early 20th century, they have since been considered a separate order. They differ from rodents in a number of physical characteristics, such as having four incisors in the upper jaw rather than two. Hares are common in Gaza.

The order Erinaceomorpha contains a single family, Erinaceidae, which comprise the hedgehogs and gymnures. The hedgehogs are easily recognised by their spines while gymnures look more like large rats. Hedgehogs are becoming increasingly rare in the Gaza Strip due to increased predation and their sensitivity to climate change.

The bats' most distinguishing feature is that their forelimbs are developed as wings, making them the only mammals capable of flight. Bat species account for about 20% of all mammals. A bat watcher in Gaza will be able to spot many distinct varieties of bat.

The order Cetacea includes whales, dolphins and porpoises. They are the mammals most fully adapted to aquatic life with a spindle-shaped nearly hairless body, protected by a thick layer of blubber, and forelimbs and tail modified to provide propulsion underwater. There are large populations in the Levantine Sea.

There are over 260 species of carnivorans, the majority of which feed primarily on meat. They have a characteristic skull shape and dentition. In Gaza it is possible to find wide varieties of carnivorans, some examples are jackals, foxes, wolves, wildcats, hyenas, mongooses, badgers and beech martens.

The even-toed ungulates are ungulates whose weight is borne about equally by the third and fourth toes, rather than mostly or entirely by the third as in perissodactyls. Gaza contains wild populations of boar, gazelle, and ibex. Families commonly keep goats, cattle and antelope.
Unfortunately, the cockroaches of humanity have decided they want to fight and die over this piece of land, and the wildlife suffers. Unknown numbers of hedgehogs have died in the Israeli blitz.

Yes, it's odd how that region has such a long history of warfare and bloodshed. Never understood why people are willing to die over a rock in a desert.
I am exploring the mammals of Gaza with an interested party. You're flaming on the same "dead internet forum" with shrunken head insults. Please try to limit yourself to QUALITY replies and topics.
OP said he wants to look up what animals are in that land. I merely brought the information to him, and provided him with nice pictures to look at. What have you done lately?

The most non-committal shitposter here mentioned animals and you sperged out for a dozen posts. I called you out on it and now you're upset. Deal with it.

You're the only one upset here. And yes researching and posting a dozen posts with text and accompanying images in response to a one-line shitpost is definitely sperging out. You arguing about this isn't helping your case.
It's been another 24 hours, and a stranger replying to a different strangers topic on an obscure Anontalk clone with 4 regular visitors is STILL making you mad.
