'Sup assholes? I took my rim off to paint it a different colour and put the spare on. Basically I was tightening the locking wheel nut and fucked it up by jumping on the wrench tightening it. So I have no fucking idea how to get it off. Picture related. And yes, that is a painted brake caliper. Haters gonna hate.

Does it turn any little bit at all? You could try to some type of spray like blaster. Or get a long breaker bar and a socket the size of that nut and try it. The bar will give you more leverage.

Cannot get it to turn whatsoever. The key just doesn't fit because those holes in the nut are supposed to be circles but are now fucked. I have basically no tools. Because it's a locking nut it has like a metal strip around it that just spins around when you try to turn it off. Obviously the nuts were made using the lowest possible grade of fucking metal by some 6-year-old Chinese sweatshop worker.

Get a blowtorch heat up wheel nut, place the wrench in the softened nut and then wait until the metal cools. Then you can turn it.

I always put my weight on the wrench to make sure I get all of the nuts really, really tight. They don't get tight enough if you do it by hand with a wrench. Locking nuts are fragile and will fuck up if you tighten too much, but that's the benefit of hindsight.

You won't be able to, thats why they come with a key. You do not posses the skills to remove the bolt without damaging the stud.

Do you have a monkey wrench? If so, just use that. If you have trouble getting the tread to stick, file down the nut a little on both sides with a metal file (you should find one in a mechanic's shop, hardware store, or some pawn shops). The nut is probably best disposed of; if you're really bohemian you could keep using it and keeping the monkey wrench nearby. That would be retarded, though.

Okay assholes. I got off the other 3 locking nuts because they were pissing me off and put on some regular nuts I bought. That last nut still won't fucking move. They have a metal ring around them so that if you try to turn it that just spins around. I managed to get the ring totally off and am now trying to hammer a socket on and then wrench the bolt out. But none of the sockets seem to be the exact right size. Anyway if you have any other ideas let me know, I'm gonna keep trying this for a while hopefully won't need to take her to a mechanic.

I've had this problem before, to4ster. Simple fix that helped me was buy some JB Weld (no pun intended). Mix it together and fill the wrench with it. Slide it over the stripped nut and leave it for at least 24 hours. It will weld the tool to the nut. This will work, but it ruins your wrench along with the nut. Still, it will get you out of Kabul and back to the green zone.

Pretty damn tight. I had to use the weld along with an impact wrench to remove it. There's no guarantee it will work, though. Just give it ample time to cure before trying it. At least 12-18 hours.
