Oh, you mean barrett. Fail on not getting the typhoon, that kills him in one go.
Either run around and scavenge for weapons in that level, or try using the explosive cubes, or just load an earlier save (You should have an autosave before you enter that) and stock up on weapons before going in. It IS an RPG.
