Channel went by the name of Fit 2B Read (still up at the time of writing), he reviewed sci fi and horror fiction. I discovered some great books from him, including a life-changing one (The House on the Borderlands by William Hope Hodgson). Turns out he was arrested last week for the production and distribution of the worst category of CP. Twat.

Never heard of him, but let's wait for him to make his case in a court of law before making conclusions, since none of us here have any direct evidence of what he's accused of. Quite unlike, for example, people we have seen directly attempt to solicit child pornography from a young girl.

I can relate a bit, a few internet personalities I follow have been outed for this sort of thing over the years. It is a shame and sort of puts you off, but in most cases I think you can probably still enjoy their old content while accepting that they're shits and no longer supporting them. Separate the art from the artist, and all that.
A disturbing trend I've seen lately, though, is fans of people like this defending and downplaying the stuff that's come out, even when the evidence is pretty cut and dried. Like, an indie dev I followed was recently outed for grooming an underage girl online, and he still has a loyal fanbase who want him to finish the game. It's bizarre.

It makes me wonder if some of it is extortion or some more sinister take down attempt by an enemy? I mean, probably not likely in many situations, but you never know. Could it be all these successful people are actually paedophiles?
I guess the whole epstein thing would have one believe it's not so unlikely that many are.
But then again, it's not like the first time in the drama of human history someone is framed, evidence planted, and so on. And with the modern trial by media, it doesn't matter if someone is acquitted because the public makes up their mind before that anyway and the damage is already done.

The vast majority of famous people are probably not paedophiles. Fame, and the associated wealth and social influence in brings, probably makes it easier to do these things. The ones who get caught might stick in people's minds more, and thus make all famous and powerful people look bad.
Power does corrupt, but I like to think that people are generally good, and that abusive behaviour like this doesn't come about if it wasn't already inside that person in some way.
