Any naturally grown food is good for you in some ways. Even sugar. The key is balanced eating.

No not refined sugar. Maybe a small amount a few times a week but I wouldn't. Just like enriched flour/white bread..same as refined sugar. The process it and take all the good out on it and add sugar to it. Not good. Best to eat whole grain. The only thing I know of that has been refined that is good to eat in black strap molasses.
