Topic: People who like authoritarianism

Are simple-minded. They see the world in black and white. They hate change. They hate anything that makes them stretch their minds beyond what is simple. They want clear-cut rules and lives. They want to just obey.

Yeah but life is not clear-cut and simple. They want to force it to be, which does not work in reality.

What do you propose instead, lawlessness?

Clearly not. I propose a system that takes into account the fact that life is grey, not black and white.

What about lockdowns and vaccine mandates. Those are pretty authoritarian right?

they can be viewed that way, sure, but they are complicated too. Having millions of people die is the other concern. It is a complex issue, not black and white, which is my point.

But are you in favor of them?

No. I am in favor though of people who refuse to get vaccinated not being allowed around people who have been vaccinated and those who want to be but cannot.

And who or what would enforce this separation of the unvaccinated and vaccinated?
