The lowest record isn't zero, but negative replies. When a thread with replies gets deleted, all those count as negatives. It's a delicate balance to achieve. I'm not sure what my record is, but I know it's -50 or less over the years that MC has existed. The trick is to have a benign enough thread, then to gradually escalate it. You then cap it off by throwing some of the moderation staff or a protected poster under the bus at the right time. Then poof. It's gone.

No guesses? Honestly, if you don't know, then you probably haven't been here that long and wouldn't know the posters anyway. So don't worry about it.

@previous (D) > You already demonstrated you have little interest in seriously discussing this
No i didn't. I asked you a question in good faith, and you got all uppity.
> so don't act all put out when I do the same.
I felt your response was rude and unhelpful. I genuinely wanted to know which posters you considered as being "protected". If you don't want to answer my question, then that's fine - don't.
When I asked which posters you thought I was referring to, you should've said something of the form: "I don't know which posters you're referring to, but I'd guess you could mean X, Y, and Z because of reasons A, B, and C. Maybe there's a good argument for Z, but I disagree with X and Y being called protected posters because of reasons D, E, and F."
Instead you refused to answer which either tells me: you're not interested in having a good faith discussion, or you're genuinely very stupid. You told me the former isn't true, so I guess I have no choice to conclude the latter.
So, you want to try this again? Which posters did you think I was referring to?

No, no, no. Are you a politician? Why does everything have to be an argument? Why does everything have to be a long, laboured discussion? Whatever happened to the simple question and answer exchange format?
I'm not trying to prove a point or something, I'm merely making an inquiry because I lack certain knowledge about the subject.
> you should've said something of the form
No I shouldn't've. I don't need a lecture on discourse from you, thank you very much.
Again, if you don't want to answer my very simple question (because you can't / won't / enjoy being an otherwise so-and-so) then don't. But don't give me that twaddle about argument construction, boy. I will school you any given day.
