This one porter I know at a hotel I sometimes visit was telling me he takes home 3k a month with his basic, service charge and tips. It sounds like a stress free life and he said a lot of 5 star hotels would love to employ me as a porter as I'm well spoken, tall and handsome and most importantly, I'm English.
