Topic: The state of Israel's creation is almost as ridiculous

as a group of white, US mid-westerners starting an ancient Egyptian fan club and growing increasingly convinced that they need to take back their homeland in modern day Egypt. If anyone points out that they have no connection to Egypt, they'd accuse you of being a racist and a bigot, then they'd point to genetic studies showing that in fact at some point 3 to 5 thousand years ago they did hail from Egypt on their trip out of Africa.
Also, in this timeline, the US would be a fallen super-power and would invade Mexico. All immigrants from Scandinavia would support the invasion. Not sure if that's related, but just thought I'd mention it.

yeah it doesn't matter anyway. just lazy deflection. probably as many people have been killed in the past few days as there were Jews in the region before the turn of the last century

@1,261,706 (A) > Not to any significant degree.
Nonsense. There have always been Jews living in Israel/Palestine, even when under occupancy by the Romans, Ottomans, etc.

@previous (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > Most of the Jewish population there didn't start arriving until after WWII
A large number returned to Israel around the turn of the 20th century when the Ottoman empire collapsed. The % population in 1936 was about the same as it was in 1947 (around 30%).
The % population did grow substantially in 1948, but it is important to realise that this was because 3 quarters of the original country (Jordan) was split off and became a separate nation, exclusively I might add, for Arabs and not Jews.

@1,261,783 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > So 30% of the population has ghettoized the rest. Interesting
How on earth do you draw that conclusion?
1. Before 1948, Palestine was a country that included the whole of Israel (including Gaza) PLUS Jordan.
2. In 1948, Palestine ceased to exist, and 30% of the population of that much larger country became around 80% of the quarter which is called Israel.
3. Jordan was handed over entirely to Arab rule, i.e. Britain reneged on the original league of nations agreement that the WHOLE country of Palestine should become the Jewish homeland.
4. Also in 1948 during the war of independence, Egypt captured Gaza and it remained under their control until 1967, when Israel took it back. By this time a considerable number of Arab Palestinians were living there, because it was effectively an Arab state (though Egypt never officially annexed it).
5. Also in 1948, Jordan annexed the area of Israel known as the West Bank and ruled it until 1967. Again, naturally many Arab Palestinians lived there because they felt more at home in an Arab ruled state.
So to say that Israel created ghettos is rubbish.
This is all very well known, basic history. I feel sorry for you that your education system let you down so badly.

yeah because nothing that happened after 1967 matters in this conflict. you posted a lame history that has nothing to do with kooks statement. it's undeniable that Israel has built a wall around, controls the resources and movement of, and hugely marginalizes a supposedly autonomous people in land that they are rapidly encroaching for forcible settlement. no, not an apartheid state at all

@previous (dj coco nutty) > nothing to do with kooks statement. > > Kook: Most of the Jewish population there didn't start arriving until after WWII > > Me: In 1948...
Again, please open a least one history book before posting your drivel.
> lame history
Facts don't care about your feelings. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it untrue.
> Israel has built a wall
True. What was the reason for this? I'll give you a clue: it wasn't because they wanted to create a ghetto, it was the other main reason people build walls.

i was referring to @1,261,783 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC)

jesus, making me pull out the dictionary. "unconvincingly feeble". not emotional language > > Israel has built a wall > True. What was the reason for this? I'll give you a clue: it wasn't because they wanted to create a ghetto, it was the other main reason people build walls.
then the fully walled ghetto with sniper towers was just a side effect of wanting to keep the arabs... out. totally fine

@previous (dj coco nutty) > wanting to keep the arabs... out.
Right. We're getting closer. And why do you think they wanted to do that? I'll give you a clue again, it's not because they are racist towards Arabs, or don't like the way they smell, or anything like that. (keywords: Second Intifada) ... I've made it really easy for you now.

@1,261,815 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > None of this is relevant
Sorry, you can't just cherry pick the bits out of history that fit your distorted world view and discard the rest as irrelevant.

@1,261,816 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > They are discriminatory against Mulims and did put them in a ghetto
Wrong. They put up a wall to stop the Arabs from massacring and suicide bomming the shit out of them every week.
And guess what, it worked - the number of suicide bombings greatly reduced (from hundreds in 2002 to under 10 in 2010).

@previous (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > They've killed far more Palestinians than vice versa.
You keep repeating this with great certainty. What are your main sources?
> Should Israelis be put in a ghetto?
Nobody should be put in ghettos.

@previous (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC) > You have no reason to believe that Hamas has killed more Israelis than the Israeli government has killed Palestinians
But I don't believe that and have never claimed it, for the very good reason that I just don't know for sure. Unlike you I think it is almost impossible to estimate. I suspect the total number of killings is roughly equal, but I'm not willing to go any further than that.
> So why do you think its so? The reason is US propaganda
I'm not even American. I don't watch those nutjob channels of yours that insist on putting ludicrous spins on absolutely everything. Instead I try as far as possible to get as close to the source of truth as I can, which is sometimes extremely difficult.
I don't like to "think" or "believe" things, I like to know them beyond a doubt. And even then, I constantly doubt myself... which is why I an genuinely interested to know what your sources are and what makes you so sure.
> I admit that what Hamas has done is equivalently evil to what the Israeli government has and continues to do to Palestinians
OK, we'll have to leave it at that then. Thank you for all your responses and your time.
