It reminds me how in US history there were slavery apologists in the North that favoured a slow approach to abolishing, or in some cases, only containing slavery. The Missouri compromise, etc, etc.

Modern day borders along with the price and labour distortions they enforce are the modern stand-in for slavery. Most oppressive dictatorships would fall within a few years, if not days, if the West recognised the fundamental human right of peaceful migration. But we could never have that because then we wouldn't be able to import unlimited cheap plastic shit from China and also, importantly, that would mean our populations would start looking a little more tan and brown and a little less white.

Maybe. Maybe not. I was going to say that even if there is increased violence in some regions, like the middle east or israel, that's a fine enough compromise because no one would be forced to remain there and anyone that does is making that choice themself.
But then it occurred to me that might not occur at all. We could actually see less violence, not more. When situations deteriorate and people have the ability to freely travel and relocate, we often see populations segregate more, not less. Look at the situation in the Rust belt in the US, or the situation in both present and historic Gaza, or the 19th century neighborhoods of Manhattan. Often once a neighborhood or region passes a certain threshold, the region then transforms and seemingly accelerates into representing only one culture or group of people.
Turns out when given the means, people will naturally elect to live near people that live and think like themselves. Who knew!

lol. I've done my part and have several mixed-race children. Studies show that mixed-race people are healthier than those of a single race. So I'm happy to have contributed to the Master Race as God/Yahweh/Allah intended. Funnily enough, though, my children look entirely white and it looks like I'm now with a woman who is completely unrelated to them.
