Seems they would. But I'm sure pro-union people would argue the opposite. What are the pros and cons of unions with respect to productivity?

Sounds like someone needs help writing an essay. Pros: we get things like Labor Day, weekends, and lunch breaks. Cons: you may lose the ability to individually bargain with employers and be forced to tow the Union line.
