Idk what the original song sounded like, but I'm not a fan of how this turned out. I'm not sure if it's just the song or if it's your voice not fitting with the style. But it sounds horrible. I didn't make it all the way through the song.
You posted another song a few months ago: https://soundcloud.com/rosteet-miller/clowns-never-laughed-before
I legit like how that came out. Your voice and that song just go together perfectly. You should really do more in that style, whatever it is. Mostly because it's pleasant and I'd like to listen to more songs like that, but also because I think other people would enjoy it too.

Looked up the original. It's a shit song. There's your problem.
Your sound setup is fine. Clowns never laughed before sounds perfectly fine. What's the original song that's based on? I looked on youtube and just see stuff from the Brady Bunch. Is that the origin?

lol seriously? One of the most important and poignant punk songs of all times and you think it's shit? Also, in Clowns, I was playing the guitar, and in the others, I was using a karaoke instrumental. And yes, it was Greg Brady's song.

I think what's wrong with Holiday in Cambodia is that it doesn't use your (or anyone's) vocal range. It's just flat and deadpan and changes in volume stand in for actual melodic structure. It's like mumble rap, but for white people.
Your other cover actually used your vocal range. And it's better for it.

It is a valid point. It was sung by Jello Biafra, whose voice was VERY unique and fit the song. It's almost impossible to imitate Jello's voice. And thank you for your compliment.

Not a fan of that one. Although I do like it better than the Holiday in Cambodia one. But I think that's because Hybrid Moments I think is a better song, both the original and your covers. Hadn't heard either of them before this thread, though.
My favorite songs by The Cure are Just Like Heaven (this one is #1 for me from their work by far) and Pictures of You.

Oh I love those songs. I grew up with The Cure. They mean so much to me. Those two songs are great for sure. I love those. I also love Six Different Ways because in high school, I had broken up with my Lon g-time girlfriend. I started dating this younger chick with red hair named Barbara, and for some reason, Six Different Ways fit her.

Oh, yeah, I also like "Close to Me" and "Friday I'm in Love" by them also. Damn. Four songs that I like by a single band. For me, that's uncommon. Normally it's like 1, 2 songs max by a band that I like and then the rest all sound like shit and aren't worth listening to imho.
I just listened to "Six different ways". Don't think I heard that one before. Pretty good. Maybe now five songs by The Cure that I like? I dunno. I can see this one growing on me.
Not really punk, and maybe even borderline post-punk, but do you like "Reptilia" by The Strokes?

Yes, I like the Strokes and that song. While I love hardcore punk, I have a wide musical taste. For example, the most beautiful music I have ever heard in my life is Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.
