You can't carry emergency food in your car? What do you have at home?
Backpacks are, in all circumstances, easier to carry and more convenient than messenger bags. Sole exception being if you're literally a mailman and are carrying letters on horseback.

I normally get Mountain House brand foods as theirs for the most part tastes decent. I also have Backpacker's Pantry lasagna that I have yet to try, so I can't give an opinion on their foods.

the backpackers pantry all had that bad uncooked taste and the only flavor I got from most of them was of that ugly old dried cilantro they use. mountain house is always tha shit

Two of my favorites from mountain house is the sausage gravy and biscuits, and the chicken and dumplings.
When I first tried sausage gravy one, I thought the biscuits would turn out soggy after pouring the water in and letting sit for a while, but the biscuits remained as they should.
The spaghetti and lasagna are ok if you're starving to death, but not on my list of favorites.
They don't make my favorite dessert anymore, Raspberry Crumble. That shit was awesome.

I usually eat them as soon as they are done enough to eat. I'll cut the package down to size and eat it like it's in a bowl.

I bet they get great discounts on them compared to what we pay in the stores or online. It is made in Utah, but called Oregon Freeze Dried.

Which knife, specifically, do you use for defense?
Using a non-lethal or not-very-lethal weapon like a knife is much more likely to get you killed. You'd be better served buying a pair of running shoes if you're not willing to carry a gun.

concealed, sometimes at work, handles pretty well and was surprisingly accurate but I have small hands. it doesn't like overkill defense rounds though but who cares. regular ol .380 hps are fine
> Nice. > > What are your thoughts on green bullets?
don't care I don't live in California and I'm not eating dirt or shooting into watersheds
just kidding its a good idea, there was a lake near my hometown where a gun club operated and they would skeet shoot over the lake and it was full of lead and that just isn't cool
or do you mean like those green polymer tips or whatever > Any experience with 3D printed guns?
no I'm not a nerd

Yeah, there's also a correlation of blood lead levels and eating game meat.
It almost seems like a virus for a lot of people:
> be raised in an environment w/ tons of hunting and eating game meat > be lead poisoned > not care about lead poisoning > have children > repeat
> or do you mean like those green polymer tips or whatever > > Any experience with 3D printed guns? > no I'm not a nerd
Yes you are.

I feel sorry for anyone that doesn't roll with a Casio digital watch with date and day of the week display along with along with a stop watch, alarm clock, and optional hourly chimes. Mechanical watches are horrible at keeping time and break down constantly.

Also do you have a tactical field manual? I got a pocket book for my region that describes all the local flora and fauna. I find myself looking up random stuff I see outside every few months.

I have a G-Shock. I just prefer the Seiko for EDC. Tactical pens? I own the CRKT Williams Tactical Pen. I own no grenades. My tactical e-reader is the Alpha Defense Kindle Mod. You?

It's from a local wildlife group. For North America though, I recommend any of the National Audubon Society's field guides. I've had the opportunity to use them in the past and they're all very good.

What is your EDC light-weight tactical knife? Mine is my Spyderco Stretch 2 XL. Literally the best purchase of my life.
It packs a 100 mm (4 inch) blade and weighs only 75 grams! I hope you're not lugging around some heavy multi-tool as your go-to tactical knife LOL!!
The Spyder thumb hole on the blade allows it to be opened quickly with one hand in a natural, continuous motion of the thumb. It's way more natural and quick to use than some automatic switchblades I own while also being lighter!
