I didn't read what he wrote, but there's reports that he pissed people off for defending his friend. So, since I can't be bothered to read about it, I'll just imagine what he wrote:
"He's a good guy. Like, what's the big deal anyway. Jeeze, man."

? The only instance I commented on that was that I was wondering what she had said that was bad. I see references but no quotes. No one here knew either, so that's where that ended up, nowhere.
"Rowling responded in December 2019 with a tweet that transgender people should live their lives as they pleased in "peace and security", but questioned women being "force[d] out of their jobs for stating that sex is real".[424]

OK I'll look at the links at my leisure but I wonder why the news that reported the controversy didn't do the work for us and just give us the fucking juicy horrible quoates

While affirming that "the majority of trans-identified people not only pose zero threat to others, but are vulnerable ... Trans people need and deserve protection", she believed that it would be unsafe to allow "any man who believes or feels he's a woman" into bathrooms or changing rooms.[440][441][442] Writing of her own experiences with sexism and misogyny,[443] she wondered if the "allure of escaping womanhood" would have led her to transition if she had been born later, and said that trans activism was "seeking to erode 'woman' as a political and biological class".[444]
