"We don't get it. This tank was absolutely indestructible when it was blasting through Iraqi cow sheds and Afghan villages. There must be some mistake here"

Da, tovarich. England vehicles are being much inferior to superior vehicles of motherland.
Hey, Dave, are you remembering when glorious Russian military swoop into Ukraine with unstoppable vehicle and air superiority and crush resistance? Is now only short time before special military operation is over!

Romanizing a Russian word in a novel way doesn't mean they would have selected the wrong cyrillic character. 'c' can make both sounds.

Let’s say Ukraine does fall. Who’s to say the Ukrainians won’t operate an insurgency?
I don’t think this is going to end well for Russia regardless if they usurp the Ukrainian government. The West is just gonna smuggle in millions of dollars to Ukrainian rebels.

Tanks fare worse when they are fighting other tanks, yes. No piece of military equipment is invincible. How many Russian infantry and tanks did it take out before it got blown up? I have no way to judge its effectiveness here.
> Tanks fare worse when they are fighting other tanks, yes.
Yep. 30 years of NATO tanks killing defenceless people. I laughed my ass off when the UK MoD boasted about the fact that a Challenger had never been destroyed in battle. Yeah, look who you've been 'fighting'!
> How many Russian infantry and tanks did it take out before it got blown up?
Zelenskiy says it took out 6 Russian brigades. A retired 4-star general on CNN said it shows taxpayers need to purchase more of them for Ukraine.

I'm just saying Russia has had 1500 tanks destroyed and it seems a bit peculiar to focus on one British tank that was destroyed with no loss of crew life.
As for the rest you're continuing to miss the point about the UK loudly boasting back in February that no Challenger tank had ever been destroyed in its 30 years history. Yeah, that's because you've spent 30 years attacking Middle Eastern villages. Typical of NATO to talk up its weaponry based on how well it kills defenceless people.

Why, the ever reliable "Western Sources" of course. Even if everyone in the crew died, one tank being blown up in a war that has seen literally thousands of tanks blown up, disabled, or captured is probably not going to change the course of the war.
> Aaaand there's the inevitable whataboutism.
I hate the British and the Russians. I hope they nuke eachother tomorrow. I just think you're developing a little bit of tunnel vision here.
> Why, the ever reliable "Western Sources" of course.
Thank you. The same "Western sources" that in one paragraph claim to know exactly what type of drone struck the tank and the manner in which the crew all safely escaped...but then in literally the next paragraph they have no fucking idea WHERE the event even happened. When I ask myself how you guys believe the utter nonsense you do about this war, I remind myself that your "Western sources" have systematically disabled your ability to critically assess the information they feed you.
> Even if everyone in the crew died, one tank being blown up in a war that has seen literally thousands of tanks blown up, disabled, or captured is probably not going to change the course of the war.
We've now taken 3 passes at it and I've accepted you're never gonna grasp the point. I can only suggest you do the same.
> I hate the British and the Russians.
With such hateful xenophobia I see why you support Ukraine.

The paragraph where they say it hit a mine? If it hit a mine, the crew probably wasn't driving around Lviv delivering groceries to someone's grandma.

No I get it perfectly, it's just a point with zero rhetorical force so I remain unmoved.
> With such hateful xenophobia I see why you support Ukraine.
Aw I'm just kidding, I don't hate the Russians.
> The paragraph where they say it hit a mine? If it hit a mine, the crew probably wasn't driving around Lviv delivering groceries to someone's grandma.
Correct, it was probably somewhere along the 1100-kilometer front line. And you yet again missed the point. If they know the crew survived then it logically follows they must know where the event occurred. Otherwise how did they verify the crew survived? Again, this is basic critical thinking that they assume (correctly) you guys won't/can't employ.

No I got that. They're reporting Western Sources who are in turn reporting something that the Ukraine MoD probably told them, which they took at face value and didn't/couldn't investigate. Don't worry, I can follow a reporting trail with the best of The Guardian reporters, but my atrophied Western brain will go no further than that.
