Topic: Why do black people say a hard C sound for words with a T sound?
Anonymous A started this discussion 2 years ago #112,932 For example, the word "credit". Black people say "credick" instead of pronouncing it the correct way.
Any idea as to why this is? English isn't a very difficult language to grasp. (Edited 1 minute later.)

I've actually not heard many real life examples of what Op is claiming
Like they don't say "baskek ball" or anything similar

I think a lot of Ebonics is put on. Like they willingly choose to mispronounce words as a way to signal their “culture”

So bassetball instead of basketball
