It may be true in some states or something, but I haven't seen any stop signs around here with a sticker. As far as I know in Kansas, a stop sign is a stop sign, regardless of what entity put it there. Driving laws vary quite a bit from state to state, maybe Falco can get out of it! Really though, running stop signs isn't a toy bud.

There seems to be some truth to it. Depending on your area, a stop sign not placed on a public road (e.g. in a private driveway, in the parking lot of a local Walmart, or in a private residential area) may only be advisory and not legally enforceable. On the flip side, if you are driving in an unsafe manner, the police will probably be able to find something (unsafe speed, endangerment, reckless driving, or whatever state or local law specifies) to charge you with if they are so inclined.
