What do you recommend? We’ve never had one before. I’m right in the path. I have bottled water and a car jumper that has an outlet. Gonna buy some more bottled water and maybe sandbags for the front door.

Yes I said food that doesn't require refrigation
I almost feel like candles are over rated but are still a good idea. I prefer good flashlights with many batteries and electric lanterns that you keep charged for emergencies

I grew up in a hurricane area. Candles can be useful if the power is out for days or longer. Batteries will eventually wear out.

I agree. But I grew up in Florida and most people stock disaster supplies all year round. And flashlights and batteries are considered to be necessary
