A recognition that certain desirable traits are heritable and that that fact is worth our attention. For example IQ.

As opposed to "kick all niggers out".

I wouldn't class that as 'racism' since I don't see any prejudicial or antagonistic component to it. Studying why (for example) Askenazi Jews tend to have high IQs doesn't have a discriminatory attitude to anyone else, at least that I can see.
